Warehouses are the points in the supply chain where product pauses briefly and is touched. Warehouses consume both space and time (person-hours), both of which are an expense. Modern warehouses are an essential component of the supply chain puzzle as warehouses provide the value-added role, for instance, reverse logistics, kitting, refurbishment, mixing, repair, etc.

Business Logistics & transportation is a broad, diverse industry that involves a broad range of activities and services. For instance, shipping and receiving of goods, imports, exports, document control, transportation planning, dealing with different modes of transportation, etc. to enable value-added supply chain activities. Transportation is a supply chain enabler to achieve perfect order by delivering right product/service, at the right time, right cost, right quality and the right time.
