This course will introduce students to broad business concepts including different forms of businesses, how companies create value to generate revenue and profits, disruptive forces in business, the digital enterprise, basics of supply and demand, the definition of money, and the role of contemporary banking.
This course will provide hands-on training on how to efficiently use Microsoft Windows to run additional applications and manage files, folders, and other important resources. Completion of this training will result in knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
This course is designed to give students a comprehensive view of communication, its scope and importance in business, and the role of communication in establishing favorable external business/client relationships, as well as effective internal communications. The various types of business communication media are covered. This course also develops an awareness of the importance of succinct written expression to modern business communication.

Interesting case studies explore real companies and organizations in-depth and delve into some of today’s most effective, unique approaches in dealing with human rersource issues. This HR Management course weaves together solid human resource principles, timely research, and recent events. Students will learn the importance and the process involved in building management skills, knowing employment law, and developing employee skills.
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of customer service. Customer service is an integral part of doing business today, and customer service providers must have adequate preparation to interact effectively with today’s customers. Students will learn elements of the customer service process, how to understand and analyze current trends and customer excellence.
This course will help students move from “job seeker” to “job finder.” Students will learn effective strategies and methods for finding, applying, interviewing, and getting the ideal job.

This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of the selling process, product strategy, customer strategy, relationship strategy, and ethics in selling. In sales-and-service focused economies, selling has become an integral part of the social environment and has coincided with another major revolution—the dramatic change in which people access information. The information age has transferred the power from sellers to customers. Todays customers can easily compare the offerings of different sellers through various online methods and choose those offerings that best suit their needs. Students will develop a sales strategy and will practice selling strategies through role-playing and in-class simulations. Students will also learn from real-world examples and the real selling video series and role-plays.

For business students, it is very important to have practical knowledge of applying mathematical techniques to generate information and knowledge from the collected data. This course will help students increase their mathematics knowledge to develop the skills at applying this knowledge, and to introduce students to business application areas. Students will learn basic skills in mathematics and knowledge of the fundamentals of business practices and money management.
This course will introduce students to management principles. Understanding management principles is important to manage organizations efficiently and effectively. The principles enable managers to decide what should be done to accomplish given tasks and to handle situations which may arise in management. This course addresses themes and issues that are directly relevant to the current, fast-shifting business environment.
This course will equip students with the knowledge and skills to manage work projects efficiently and reach project goals successfully. Students will be exposed to project management phases (initiation, planning, performing and closing), budgeting, risk management, conflict management, team management, and ethical issues.
This course will introduce students to fundamental accounting concepts required to provide control, stability, and accountability to the company’s finances. Accounting is the backbone of a business. Students will understand the accounting role to track a company’s finances in the forms of credits, debits, and profitability to payroll and tax filing.
This course will introduce students to the legal principles relevant to business students. This course is not intended to provide legal advice. Students will be introduced to the legal system and processes in Canada, constitution and division of powers, alternative dispute resolutions, torts and professional liability.
Students will participate in a supervised, full-time practical placement in the area of business adminsitration they wish to gain work experience. The main objective is to enable the student to apply, in a work environment, the knowledge and technical skills that he or she has acquired throughout the in-class training, and gain valuable work references and experience needed to secure employment in a related business administration position.
